Movendi is a merger of the former IOGT-NTO, the Youth Sobriety Association UNF and the children's organization Junis and is a non-partisan and religiously independent membership organization that works for democracy and solidarity on a sober basis.
Movendi works towards a society free from alcohol and other drugs, provides support to those in need and builds community through fun and meaningful activities. With Movendi, you have the freedom to be yourself, together with others.
During the national meeting in November 2025, it was decided what the new organization would be called. The choice fell on Movendi Sverige. The name comes from the Latin movendi, which means “to move” and is related to the expression modus vivendi “way of life”.
It reflects the movement's international heritage and its will to move forward, towards a society free from alcohol and other drugs, where people can live free and safe together. The name symbolizes a movement in motion, people who together choose a way of life that is based on freedom, care and community.

To be a scout is to do your best to become the best version of yourself. In the Sobriety Movement's Scout Association, children, young people and scout leaders gather every week to experience adventure and try new things.
NSF's operations focus on problem solving, leadership and sobriety. The association stands for an open and democratic society where young people are involved and decide. Here is a conviction that together we can create a better world where everyone has a place. To be a scout, it is to care! To care about others, to care about oneself and to care about the future.
NSF consists of 74 unions active in about 70 municipalities, from Ånäset in the north to Malmö in the south.
