IOGT-NTO Movement works internationally to strengthen public health, women's rights and children's rights by preventing harm from alcohol. We are now looking for a Finance Manager who wants to take overall responsibility for the organization's finances and contribute to stability, structure and long-term sustainability. About the role
As a Finance Manager, you have overall responsibility for the entire organization's finances. The role involves both operational and strategic work, from ongoing accounting to budgeting, financial statements and financial planning, control and follow-up.
You are part of the organization's management team and actively contribute to strategic decisions and long-term planning. In this role, you will work closely with the program controller, who is part of the program group, to ensure coordination between the follow-up of the business and the organization's overall finances. The assignment also includes coordination responsibility for the office, which means that you contribute to the work environment, structure and practical conditions for daily work.
The role is suitable for those who thrive in a smaller organization where you get to work broadly, take overall responsibility and be a central function in the business.
Your main tasks are to:
· have overall responsibility for the organization's financial management, follow-up and internal control
· responsible for ongoing accounting and account reconciliations
· manage supplier and customer accounts
· be responsible for annual accounts
· be the contact person for the auditor and coordinate the audit process
· follow up the organization's finances and analyze deviations
· produce financial reports and decision-making documents for management and the board
· ensure good internal control and develop and follow up on financial routines and processes, including work with regulatory compliance and anti-corruption
· lead and coordinate budget, forecast and financial statement work
· Ensure quality through reasonableness checks of payroll data prior to accounting and payroll processing (payroll management is handled by an external partner).
· contribute to long-term planning, risk assessment and financial sustainability
The job involves traveling abroad.
Who are we looking for?
We are looking for someone who is confident in the entire accounting process and who wants to work in a values-driven organization. You are structured, meticulous and analytical, with the ability to combine operational work with a strategic overall perspective.
You enjoy working independently, but also in close collaboration with others. The role involves many contact areas and becomes a central function in the organization, which requires very good collaboration skills. You have the ability to communicate financial issues in a clear and educational way.
You have:
Relevant academic education in economics
· at least 5 years of experience in qualified accounting work, preferably in a non-profit organization or public sector
· experience in financial statements, budgets and financial monitoring
· good knowledge of accounting rules and internal control
· very good knowledge of Swedish and English, both spoken and written
· experience of working in the financial systems Fortnox and Rillion One or other major financial system
Merit:
· Experience from the non-profit sector or smaller organization
· experience in aid work or other grant-funded activities and donor requirements (e.g. Sida)
· experience in financial management support or working closely with the board
· experience with Giva's regulations
The employment is 100% until further notice with access as agreed.
You have irregular working hours and are located in our office in central Stockholm, with the possibility of some home work.
